3. Select Add Mail Account under the Mail section and enter account information.
Fill in your name and email address. Then click Save.
On the next screen enter your Hosting Account Information account details, including the following.
- Incoming Mail Server
Host Name: This will be the word MAIL followed by the last part of your email address.
(example : if your address is MarySue@chapel.us then your Host Name will be mail.chapel.us)
Password: Here you enter your email password. If you don't remember this, you will need to reset it.
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
Host Name: Most Likely the same as above. mail.whatever the end of your email address is.
User Name: This will be your COMPLETE email address. Not just the first part.
Password: Again ...put in your email password.
Tap Save to save the entered information. Your iPhone will then verify your account information.
5. Upon successful completion you will be taken back to the Mail Settings screen. You will still need to configure your folders since you are using IMAP.
Select your newly created account and enter the Advanced section:

6. Now you will be able to choose the Drafts, Sent, and Deleted folders on the server. This way your folders will be in sync no matter where or how you access your email. Just choose each Mailbox on the same Advanced screen and select the matching folder on the server:
You should now have a fully configured account on your Apple iPhone.
I've changed my email password.... Now how can I change the outgoing mail (SMTP) password on my Iphone?
In the iPhone mail client, there are two locations for passwords. The incoming mail password is on the main configuration screen, but the outgoing mail password may be considered somewhat hidden. Please follow these steps:
- From the home screen, tap the "Settings" icon
- Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
- Select the account you wish to modify
- Tap "SMTP" under "Outgoing Mail Server"
- Tap the primary server
- Enter your new password in the "Password" field.
